Thabiso Kutumela joins Cape Town City on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns

Head coach Eric Tinkler has confirmed Cape Town City have signed striker Thabiso Kutumela on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Kutumela was at Athlone Stadium on Sunday, when Cape Town City lost 2-1 to Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 quarter-finals.
Kutumela worked with Tinkler at Maritzburg United in 2021.
“We feel we need a little bit more depth and opportunity for someone who has goal-scoring attributes and someone I’ve worked with before,” said Tinkler.
“We’re very, very happy to bring him because obviously, he will give us an added number.”
Kutumela has been capped eight times by South Africa in international football.
Cape Town City will face SuperSport United in the 2023-24 Premier Soccer League on Friday.
