Patson Daka

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Brighton on Sunday, a result that ensures the Dutch manager retains his unbeaten record with the Foxes.

The game was also significant as it marked Zambian striker Patson Daka’s 100 appearance for Leicester City, a milestone that means he is now holds the record number of appearances by a Zambian for an English side.

Daka has played 57 games for Leicester in the Premier League and 20 in the Championship. The balamce of his Foxes games are from Cup competitions.

Speaking to BBC’s Match of the day after the game Van Nistelrooy said:  “I think I liked the second half a lot. The way we played, we deserved the point. I think.

“I’m pleased with the character and spirit and approach of the game. If we are winning, we are losing it’s football. The ball in top corner like the first one. Yeah. It can happen. But it’s about the performance. That mentality thats that. That is what the team showed that character and it was rewarded today.

Commenting specifically on Wilfred Ndidi he added: “He had to come off with an injury. Hopefully it’s a minor one. Assessing him right now. Tomorrow further, so hopefully it’s not too bad, but he had to come off. So it wasn’t good.”
