Chelsea sell Kalidou Koulibaly to Saudi outfit Al-Hilal

Another big-name star has left the Premier League to move to Saudi Arabia with the announcement that Chelsea’s Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly has joined Al-Hilal in a deal reportedly worth £20m.
The towering defender, who scored twice in his 23 appearances for The Blues, joins former Wolves striker Ruben Neves at the Saudi Pro League side.
Confirming his departure the African Cup of Nations winner wrote on Twitter: “From my first game to my last, it was an honor to wear this badge.
“Last season wasn’t the one we wanted, but I want to thank the fans and everyone at the club for your support.”
Koulibaly is the second Chelsea player to make the move to Saudi Arabia in a week after defensive midfielder Ngolo Kante joined champions Al-Ittihad. The duo are expected to be followed out the door at Stamford Bridge by goalkeeper Edouard Mendy who is reportedly close to joining Al-Ahli.
