EPL: Pep Guardiola named Manager of the Year for third time

Manchester City’s Spanish manager Pep Guardiola was the big winner on the night as he picked up both the ‘Manager of The Year’ and ‘Premier League Manager of the Year’ awards at the League Managers Association awards evening.
The Manager of the Year winner, who is voted for by managers across all divisions in England, receives the Sir Alex Ferguson Trophy. It is the third occasion that Guardiola has won the coveted trophy.
Accepting the award Guardiola, who has already won the league, and could potentially claim a treble for Manchester City if his side are victorious in the finals of the Champions League and the FA Cup, said: “It’s an incredible honour to get his trophy. We are in the best league in the world and I promise you we will be there next season.”
Only three managers have ever won the main prize three times, with Guardiola joining current West Ham boss David Moyes and Manchester United great Alex Ferguson as three time winners – Ferguson ended his career with five Manager of the Year awards to his name.

Vincent Kompany (Burnely): Championship Manager of the Season
