Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teboho Mokoena was named Footballer of the Season during Sunday’s Premier League Soccer awards ceremony for the 2022-23 season.

Mokoena was key to Sundown’s successful PSL title defence – and effectively beat team-mate Ronwen Williams and Orlando Pirates’ winger Monnapule Saleng to the award.

Meanwhile, Sundowns’ Rulani Mokwena was named Coach of the Season. He effectively beat Orlando Pirates’ Jose Riveiro and SuperSport United’s Gavin Hunt to the award.
