June 27, 2023

Springbok winger Sbu Nkosi has ended his troubled stay in Pretoria after he and the Blue Bulls agreed to bring about an early termination to his contract.
At this stage, it is unclear where Nkosi will play next.
The winger moved to Pretoria from The Sharks in March 2022. He hadn’t been in Pretoria long before he went missing, prompting the Blue Bulls to open a missing persons case.
In short, it was a troubled stay in Pretoria for the talented winger who will be hoping that things work out better for him in the next stage of his career.
Announcing Nkosi’s departure Bulls CEO Edgar Rathbone said: “I would like to thank Sbu for all that he has contributed towards our campaigns during his time with us.
“I know it wasn’t an easy time for him personally, but I am confident the support we provided to him was invaluable.
“Having a Springbok winger of his caliber in our team has been a pleasure. I know he now feels as though it is the best time to move on and we respect his wishes,” he said.
An official statement from The Blue Bulls made it clear that the decision to leave Jake White’s Pretoria team was Nkosi’s. It read: “The Blue Bulls Company has agreed to the early termination of Sbu Nkosi’s contract by mutual consent and the 27-year-old will leave the club with immediate effect.
“After a season in the capital, Nkosi’s adventure at the Bulls comes to an end with the conclusion of the 2022-23 rugby calendar as the player looks to pursue his rugby elsewhere.”
