Thulani Serero not coming home yet, signs for UAE club Khor Fakkan

Thulani Serero, the 41-cap Bafana Bafana midfielder, has a new club after he signed for UAE Pro League side Khor Fakkan.
Serero, who is 33 years old, left South Africa in 2011 and has played abroad ever since. He spent time in The Netherlands with Ajax and Vitesse Arnhem before moving to the UAE where he spent the last four years at Al Jazira.
During his time with Al Jazira, for whom he played 33 games last season, he won the Pro League Title and the UAE Super Cup.
Serero had been linked with a move back to South Africa, with Kaizer Chiefs strongly rumoured to have been after his signature. But it is the UAE outfit who won the race for his signature as they seek to bolster their roster to Improve on last season’s 10th place league finish.
